Yamaha LS26 A.R.E. MADE IN JAPAN Small-Body Solid Engelmann Spruce/Rosewood Acoustic Guitar
The small-bodied LS has a long history with Yamaha. Featuring excellent total balance, it delivers a big, confident sound for it's size, yet also ideal for delicate passages, and highly recommended for fingerstyle guitarists.
Hand-built by master luthiers in Japan, the Yamaha LS26 ARE is an exquisite acoustic that offers a lifetime of incredible playability and tone. Utilizing Yamaha's Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E.), the LS26 features a solid rosewood body with a solid Engelmann spruce top for stunning tone that is balanced, full, and unique.
A 5-ply mahogany/rosewood neck with ebony fingerboard adds to this stellar instrument's exquisite tone and playability. A reevaluation of string spacing, string height, fingerboard binding, and neck taper led to a new neck shape that better fits today’s traditional players. The new design offers stable grip and smooth playability over the full length of the neck. High-end, detailed appointments such as maple binding and an ebony bridge enhance and support the rich tone of this incredible acoustic.
The tonewood combination of rosewood and spruce has won over countless players who have been enthralled by the incredible blending of the rich low end from rosewood and the high and midrange clarity of spruce. The resulting tone is truly something that has to be experienced, and the LS26 lets you do just that. Wide-open strums, picking, and fingerstyle approaches on this Concert acoustic all translate beautifully through the tonewood pairing of the LS26. And the 5-ply mahogany/rosewood neck and ebony fingerboard offer the kind of feel and response that make hours of playing and exploring seem effortless.
The great tone and smooth playability of the LS26 ARE are due to Yamaha's never-ending search for perfection. The recently developed A.R.E. process gives your guitar a broken-in and aged tone. By controlling the atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity, the molecular properties of the wood are manipulated to mirror those of a guitar that has been played for years. Each L Series guitar also sports modified non-scalloped bracing that enhances the guitar's low end. And the 5-ply mahogany/rosewood neck, after reevaluation of string height and spacing, has a new design for improved playability. The Yamaha LS26 utilizes newly developed advances in guitar construction to bring you an amazingly playable and great-sounding instrument.
