Lessons:

We offer Piano, Voice, Drum, Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, Accordion & Fiddle lessons for any playing level. These lessons are one on one with the teacher for an efficient learning environment. We employ only highly experienced music teachers willing and able to teach all styles of music to students of all ages. Lessons run from September to May during the year on Monday to Thursday afternoons and evenings. Often space runs out quickly so it is good to call and book space early prior to their start in the fall.

Our teaching studios are spacious, clean and a highly positive place for you, your child, your spouse or whomever is taking music lessons. Here at Reid Music, we believe that a positive atomosphere is the best way to learn!

Yamaha Music Piano School:

Reid Music is home of Newfoundland's only Yamaha Music School. The Yamaha School at Reid Music consists of two programs under the direction of Ms. Jennifer Percy (B.Mus., B.Mus.Ed) these are the JMC and YMC programs. The program is developed for young children and consists of exciting group classes.

Children attend with there parents for one hour lessons in groups of 6 to 12. The program teaches kids the basics of music with a focus on the keyboard which allows children to enter private lessons at a later time knowing rudiments and having confidence. The Junior Musicians Class is for children ages 4 to 5 and gets them a head start in music allowing them to develop there ear learning interactively with there parents and classmates. The Young Musicians Class is for children ages 6 to 8 and is tailor made to develop the children's ear and finger muscles. To learn more about this excellent program please contact us.

Yamaha Group Drum Lessons:

Reid music is now the home to a Canadian First; Yamaha Group Drum lessons. The Yamaha Music Program is an internationally recognized program developed in Japan under the Yamaha Corporation and is the leading curriculum the world for group music education. Although it has been offered in many countries in the world, Reid Music Limited is the first to have the opportunity to bring it to the Canadian student.

The program, under the direction of Mr. Brant Parsons (B.Mus., B.Mus.Ed.) a teacher in the school system who is now Yamaha Certified, is designed for ages 11 up to adult and is taught in groups of students numbering up to six. Brant has been teaching drums since 1993 and has taught over 300 local students some of which have carried on professionally.
