Reid Music was founded in 1991 by the company's president Junior Reid. The company started small, but Junior, having over thirty years
experience in music retail, has built the business to what it is today by carrying only the best products available in the world.
Continued growth and success has been a trade mark of the business since its conception. The finest instrument manufacturers globally
have selected Reid Music to distribute their products in Newfoundland and Labrador. This is much to do with a progressive approach to
family operated business and playing a leadership role in the industry, by developing customer service which is second to none, and by
playing an active role in many community events and youth orientated projects.

It is worth saying that while Reid Music has experienced continuous growth, we are still far from taking a big business approach with
the inevitable continuous sales gimmicks and grab lines. We pride our self in personalized service and give the best possible prices to
everyone everyday.
Reid Music is a full service shop for musical instruments sales and service. With onsite instrument repair and servicing you have no
worries about your purchase. Also, Reid Music has an active music education program which has grown yearly and boasts an impressive
resume of programs and instructors. In 2002 Reid Music added the Yamaha Music School to its music education program. This is essentially
a program that gives group lessons in music to young children while accompanied by their parents. In this environment both the parent and
the child learn activities that teach the rudiments of music in a fun and progressive atmosphere. Since its start, enrollment in this
program has double each year. This is attributed to both a well-developed program from Yamaha and excellent direction by Ms. Jennifer
Percy (B.Mus., B.Mus.Ed.) a certified Yamaha Instructor. This year we have added Yamaha group drum lessons under the direction of
Mr. Brant Parsons (B.Mus., B.Mus.Ed), another certified Yamaha Instructor. This is a First in Canada Program. Reid Music Welcomes Brant
to our staff and wished him the best of success.
